His work spans local, national, and international projects across diverse sectors. He is the recipient of multiple honors including the 2003 SIUC IDSA Merit Award, R.E.A.C.H. Trust Award, 2006 OBD Alumni Award, 2002 Portfolio Excellence Award, and recognition as a Rickert-Ziebold Finalist. Randy is skilled in branding, web and graphic design, social media, materials, and the industrial design process. His expertise covers concept research through manufacturing, guiding clients from idea to production-ready solutions. As a personal mentee of the late Charles Harrison—historic African-American industrial designer and former Sears design director—Randy was awarded first place in the 2002 Portfolio Excellence Contest by the Organization of Black Designers and Project Osmosis, receiving an Apple eMac from their partnership with Apple. Since 2004, he has completed more than 600+ scripture, sermon slide, and revelation based projects. Not including commissioned and non-commissioned work for churches, and ministries. A former full-time Art Teacher (4-12; Pre-AP) and PE Coach for a Church Academy. Having served on the media team for two churches. Accountable to Christian leadership since 2004. He has also developed three patent-pending products, managing research, 2D concept development, and materials specification. His experience includes newspaper illustrations, advertisement, and infographic design throughout Southern Illinois and Chicagoland.
