Professional DJ, Photographer, Movie Director. Where do I begin? I have been in the entertainment profession since I was 9 yrs old. Music has been a huge part of my life. I can recall listening to music sitting on the armrest of my mom's plastic covered sofa. I was listening to the devil in disguise by Elvis Presley. At that age, I knew I wanted to do something with music. My parents were a huge influence with music. I started singing at the early age of 9, and I learned to play trumpet and trombone. but all kids who lost interest quickly, i had no choice but to continue as I was traveling with a high-school marching band. As I started high school, I joined the marching band. My colleague John Payne asked if I could help him carry crates for his dj event. I was hooked from that day. 1984 was the year I just knew that was what I wanted to do. When you have a hispanic mom, you do as you are told. I would listen to djs on the radio and record their mixes on cassette. To listen back so that I had that current knowledge of music. Needless to say, I had a career singing, but it was not what I really wanted. Years went by, and I was old enough to hit the dance clubs. I followed a local dj who was on ripping up dance clubs. RICHIE D. This brother was able to mix 70s funk to the 90s synthesized music flawlessly. I asked him if I could learn from him, he was so gracious and said, "Meet me here next Sunday, carry my crates, and I'll see what I can do." The rest was history. I have to pay homage to Richie D to my friend John Payne for influencing and inspiring to pursue my passion. Djing is like a drug. You have so much control over your crowd that you can influence, persuade, and motivate a crowd simply by playing a song that gets the crowd hype. You know you have control when a club is packed to capacity and you have them moving the way you want them to. It is such an energy rush. I love taking people on a roller coaster ride through sound. I am an open format dj but have strong influences in afro house, tribal and global house music. I love Punjabi, bungara, k-pop, Cantonese house, funk house. Want to know more?
